Nestled in the peaceful surroundings of the Whalton countryside, our guest rooms are set to the rear of the building in beautifully converted stable blocks, just behind the main inn. Separate from the pub itself, the bedrooms offer an added sense of privacy and tranquillity. Guests reach their rooms via a short, pleasant walk through the courtyard—perfect for a breath of fresh country air before turning in for the night.
Set away from the road and pub area, each room provides a calm and restful space to unwind, while still being just moments from the warmth of our bar and the crackle of real log fires.

Room 1 – Twin/Double Room
Located on the first floor at the rear of the building, this peaceful twin/double room offers a relaxing stay with a private en suite bathroom featuring a modern walk-in shower. Stylish décor and contemporary amenities make it ideal for guests seeking a comfortable countryside base away from the bustle of the pub and road. Please note this room is not dog-friendly and is not accessible through the main pub entrance.
Rooms 2–4 – Double Rooms
Each of these first-floor double rooms features a luxurious king-size bed and a private en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Designed with both style and comfort in mind, these rooms are located in a quiet position at the rear of the inn, ensuring a restful stay in the heart of Northumberland. Please note these rooms are not dog-friendly and are accessed separately from the main pub building.
Room 6 – Accessible King Room
Our ground-floor Accessible King Room offers spacious comfort with a king-size bed and a modern wet room bathroom, thoughtfully designed to accommodate guests with limited mobility or disabilities. This dog-friendly room is situated beside the Family Room (Room 7), and when booked together, the two offer private access via a shared connecting porch—perfect for families or carers travelling together.
Room 7 – Small Family Room
Perfect for a small family or group, this cosy ground-floor room features one double bed and one single bed, along with a private en suite bathroom. Positioned at the rear of the building for peace and quiet, it’s also dog-friendly and located next to our Accessible King Room, offering the option to connect both rooms via a private porch for larger group stays of up to five guests.
The Stables Suite
Our most spacious and versatile accommodation, the ground-floor Stables Suite features one double bedroom, one twin/double bedroom (set as a twin unless a double is requested before check-in), a lounge area with a sofa bed, a private garden, and a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, and crockery. Ideal for families or groups of up to six, the suite is dog-friendly and set apart from the road and pub for a private, restful retreat.
